MATH PROPERTIES
Commutative Property: you can change the order of the numbers and you will get the same result/answer (this only works for ADDITION and MULTIPLICATION)
a + b = b + a
1 + 2 = 3
2 + 1 = 3
3 x 4 = 12
4 x 3 = 12
Associative Property: you can regroup numbers and get the same result (for ADDITION and MULTIPLICATION)
(a + b) + c = a + (b + c)
(1 + 2) + 3 = 6
1 + (2 + 3) = 6
Distributive Property: you take the multiplier and distribute it to the other numbers
5 x (3 + 9) = (5 x 3) + (5 x 9)
reverse example:
(7 x 25) + (7 x 75) = 7 x (25 + 75) = 7 x (100) = 700
